Asthma is a disease of the lungs. It is a condition where the person has a lot of difficulty breathing. - Omega Fatty Acids: Arachidonic acid is an acid found in certain foods.It is found in egg yolks, shellfish and meat. An asthma patient is supposed to eat less of foods containing archidonic acid.This decreases inflammation of the lung muscles and increases the capacity to breathe.Beneficial fats are fatty substances which are good for our health. EPA or eicospentanoic acid is a beneficial fatty substance found in the body. This is obtained from fish oil.Similarly GLA or gamma linolenic acid is a good substitute for arachidonic acid.
