With autism in infants, most parents have to take steps to understand the short comings faced by these infants and help them by giving training at home. It will clearly affect their speech and put an end to the interactional behavior. But this can be set right by allowing them to interact with other people. A lot of parents are not aware of such symptoms. Moreover, the need to help children with such problems has led to the opening of learning schools for people diagnosed with autism. With proper training at home, parents can let their children to interact with others for improving their self behavior and gaining confidence in dealing with social responsibilities. Doctors are still not sure of why autism affects infants, many still consider that this can be due to genetic reasons. Other ways of helping children with such disorder is that they should be encouraged to talk and express their feelings. With bringing them up and out of the cocoon is the job of the parent. They have to take pains to understand the needs of the children and help them to interact with other children of their age.
Autism in infants can generally be visible in an early age of one to two years. It takes time to identify these symptoms especially in a child as most of the normal children behave in this way owing to the age. But a child with autism will have a more different way of speaking and would ignore, talks and prefer being alone. It will show signs of restlessness followed by avoiding eye contact with others. A lot of doctors suggest the need of exercises and speech therapy for improving the interaction behavior with others.
Many people avoid sending their children to school, as they would be finding it difficult to cope up with the daily pressures of life. Most of the parents who stay at home; they train the children themselves by reading books on autism. This will help the children to react better and stay in touch with the outside world. This disorder can be set to pace by allowing children to interact with people of their age and by getting the ball rolling on their life and making them feel normal in every way.
