The avian flu influenza is not transmitted by birds to humans and but gets easily transmitted from birds to other species of birds. It is caused by some virus that breeds in low temperatures and can survive on tissues of birds. One major advantage of such bird flu is that they are not transmitted by birds or by eating or cooking of meat and poultry. It is by inhaling the virus that the flu enters the immune system of the body and disrupts the total network. A lot of people suffer from bird flu on coming into
close contact with the infected bird. The discharge of an affected bird will contain the virus and this when inhaled will get transmitted into the human body. It is very important to take the necessary precautions to avoid coming into contact with the affected bird. Wear safety gloves and face masks when handling with infected birds. It is highly dangerous as, these viruses can cause fatal deaths as well. With cough and swelling, they display same symptoms as those of the birds. Most of the times, it is better to get vaccinated against such diseases and to avoid traveling into countries, where the epidemic is uncontrolled. Having to wash hands and face regularly can keep you at bay from the virus.
There is no definite cure for the virus and medical reports are trying to find innovative breakthrough in the field of medical science. But for time being, more than prevention, nothing much can be done to avoid the virus. For some time, it is best to avoid having the consumption of poultry products as well. Most of the countries to stop the spread of virus do not export or import poultry products from affected countries. It will help in sanitizing the area and to measure the extent of spread. There are various ways of staying away from bird discharges. Usually it takes about 10 days for the symptoms to start showing about and would include mild fever with vomiting sensations.
On further identification of symptoms, they have to be immediately taken to the doctor. There are vaccines that can be given to an affected person. With much or less, the infection would not spread from humans to another person on contact or by any other form of relation. The only way it spreads is by inhaling and that would cause severe damage to the overall immune system of the body. With medication the spread within the body can be controlled but no definite cure can be said for avian flu influenza. With a lot of care, they need to take proper medication to treat the flu.
