Bloating is caused by excessive gas in the stomach. It is an indicator of a serious digestive disorder also known as indigestion. It is caused by the accumulation of liquids and intestinal gas in the stomach. Bloating is caused by foods that aren't being digested properly. This excessive accumulation is known medically as Ascites which can also be caused by bowel obstruction. The main causes of bloating are foods that we eat on a daily basis. It consists of ready to eat foods, and fast foods among others. This, along with irregular and unusual eating patterns, causes bloating. The low intake of water adds to this process further harming the body as water aids digestion and supports most of the body’s daily functions.

The commonly identified bloated stomach causes are excess eating, lactose intolerance, food allergies, consumption of gas producing food, constipation, irritable bowels syndrome, and visceral fat among others.
During the pre-menstrual cycle, women suffer from bloating which is known as pre-menstrual bloating on account of the swelling of their legs and hands. This is also considered as one of the causes of bloating. The uncommon bloated stomach causes include intra-abdominal tumors including stomach cancer, abnormal dilation of the colon such as parasitic infection. It occurs when the abdomen feels full and tight, even when you haven't eaten. It occurs in the small intestine rather than the stomach. The gases produced during digestion lead to bloated stomach.
Causes of bloating can be easily identified when passing excessive gas, such as painful stomach cramps, bloated abdomen or a very uncomfortable feeling with tight clothes. This becomes essential to a proper diagnosis and treatment. Observation is essential as bloating fades when foods are digested. This flat stomach syndrome can be successfully tackled by reducing the particular kind of food which you feel is the cause of bloated stomach and once you have identified it, avoid that food and get rid of it.
One of the common bloated stomach causes is digestion of milk. Drinking one ounce of milk produces one gallon gas as buffalo milk is deficient in lactose which breaks glucose. Another common scourge of our lifestyle and the reason behind bloating is the use of antibiotics, sweets and salt. They produce excessive gas and stomach swelling. So avoid excess sweets and a amount of salty foods, because doing so reduces stomach bloating effectively.
In short, be reasonable with yourself. Take charge of your food habits; eat regularly and healthily to prevent bloating which always causes discomfort.
